Yesterday I had Pinkberry yogurt.. the "infamous LA yogurt" at a place near my house...the regular with 2 fruits (mango and rasberry) and some almond (see Bhatura, I was paying attention)
Honestly?
It was good, but it wasn't all that.

Barracuda
Fun: Sitting at lunch with old high school teachers catching up, finding out the gossip behind the scenes with the teachers during your time there.... weird hearing them talk about the infamous 'barracuda' teacher who broke up 3 marriages, and almost caused a teacher to commit suicide...
Gosh... my high school days could become a TV series.
No Joke.

Mosaics
Tonight had dinner with some of my best friends from high school and beyond...so weird to be back... really weird...but wonderful.
Found out about this new artist, Tiffany Miller, that they know, who is amazing...if you're into art and mosaics, take a look at her gallery...we're going to her place in a few weeks to hang out..
Her first job: writing jingles for the TV show 'Extra'... now she just does mosaics...
Also, it's weird to be back in California where everyone is somehow associated by default with the entertainment industry and the primary news intro story is Owen Wilsons suicide attempt...that would have not been the main intro in Atlanta.
Los Angeles.... we are officially back.

Dutch?
Red flag for me on a date: When the guy doesn't offer to pay, or at least tell me to put my purse down. (I don't mind paying my share but just have the decency to offer).
Double red flag: When the bill is less than 10 bucks.
Done deal: NEXT!

Spinning
With all this down time, well not exactly, but I hate unpacking more than anything, i'm going to classes at the gym....well, spinning is great...
And i'm signing up for introduction to taekwondo.
Good times.

20 Years Later
My mom and I used to do a mother/daughter bonding activity when I was a kid affiliated with the local YMCA called 'Indian Maidens'. We were in troops, with other mother/daughters, had camping trips, activities, weekly meetings, and bonding sessions. It was when I was around 6-9 years old.
I met a girl there named J. Eventually, she would be in my 3rd grade class, and we'd part ways during middle school, as my town had 2, and she lived closer to the other place.
J's mom was awesome. She was mischevious, would toilet paper cabins during our camping trips, and just bring about some silliness to everything.
Tragically, during my 7th grade year, I read in the papers that J had been struck by a drunk driver while on the crosswalk walking to school. She wasn't killed, but was incapacitated for the rest of her life, unable to walk, talk, and had to be taken care of 24/7.
20 years have gone by from that tragic day. Just a few weeks ago, J's mom came over looking for my mom to have a mothers 'reunion of sorts'. They met up with 6 other moms, discussed life, and laughed about the past....
J lives at home with a caretaker, and is still the same.
In the 20 years, where my life has been a roller coaster, her life has been stagnant.
I haven't seen her in decades, and will likely drop by sometime soon.
It's going to be hard for me, and harder for me to see her mom.

Blackberry vs. Iphone
In the market for a new phone. Need a 'smart phone' this time around.
Blackberry vs. Iphone (thinking about the pearl model for the blackberry).
Any insight?

Blogiday...
So after umm... 4 months... I'm back...after my long protracted blogiday....
Yes..
Who knew... that i'd be back..
I'm surprising myself right now too.
So many things have happened since then... a big move, lots of travel, and now trying to settle into a new place...
It's a time of flux and change...
I just need to get settled.
And survive horrible jet lag.
